The mission of the Visualization and Interactive Spaces Lab is to research and develop innovative environments for data visualization, information exploration, and learning. Lab personnel explore advanced computer-generated graphics, novel sensor-based user interfaces, and Web-enabled software architectures to create new capabilities for accessing and understanding information. The Lab is especially interested in taking a collaborative approach, where developing new technology solutions can contribute to advancing an application.

2. Effective Technology Use for Science Engagement and Education
3. Interactive Visualization and Data Analysis Tools

The Lab aims to deploy its research products to active use as quickly as is reasonable. Our physical object interface work has generated products that have been in daily use at the Indianapolis Museum of Art, the Indiana State Museum, and the Ruth Lilly Health Education Center.
